Hey guys!

It's us, Denikka + Ben! We're the faces behind Sole Kids. Denikka makes up the Podiatrist + design part of the company + Ben makes up the marketing manager, colour co- ordinator + most importantly the chief moral support part.

Sole Kids has been a 2 year long project that we started to encompass our love of podiatry, art, design + fashion. We envisioned kids on big adventures in their little Sole Kids shoes. We love all things outdoors + wanted to encourage outdoor play as much as possible with this label.

It was always a huge factor that we incorporated eco- friendly + animal cruelty free aspects into our design, manufacturing + packaging. We completely get and see some of the devastating effects that the fashion + footwear industry has on the world + we certainly didn't want to play a part in that.

One of the main reasons we started this company was obviously because of the Podiatry background Denikka has. For the past 5 years, working as a Podiatrist I have seen and encountered many issues with children's footwear, such as the fit as well as the design of shoes. This made me passionate to branch out into our own footwear label - which meant we could minimise these issues, design long lasting shoes (not just fast fashion items), made from beautiful eco- conscious materials that wouldn't cost the earth!

We also wanted to give back! It was important that we found a way to give back to kids, who may be less fortunate or unable to source good footwear for their little feet. Hence why we've teamed up with one of the Cape York Health Centres to donate footwear to the children of the Cape! You can read more about this in our Sole Purpose Project
